Flat Tip Hair Extensions — Care & Maintenance Instructions

Proper care will help maintain the softness, shine, smoothness, and longevity of Flat Tip extensions.

1. Brushing

Brush gently 2–3 times a day with an extension-friendly brush.
Always start from the ends and work upward.
Hold the hair near the attachment while brushing to reduce tension.
Never pull or force through knots.

2. Washing

Wash with a sulfate-free, extension-friendly shampoo.
Massage the scalp gently; avoid aggressive rubbing around the beads.
Apply conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends.
Keep conditioner, oils, and heavy treatments away from the attachment points.

3. Drying

Gently squeeze out excess water; don't rub the hair vigorously.
Never sleep with wet extensions.
Make sure the roots and attachment areas are completely dry.
Use low-to-medium heat when blow-drying.

4. Heat Styling

Always apply a heat-protectant before using hot tools.
Avoid placing excessive heat directly on the attachment.
Limit frequent high-temperature straightening or curling.

5. Sleeping

Brush the hair gently before bed.
Tie it in a loose braid or low ponytail.
Sleep with completely dry hair.
A silk or satin pillowcase can help reduce friction and tangling.

6. Swimming

Wet the hair with fresh water before swimming.
Tie the extensions in a loose braid.
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after swimming.
Minimize prolonged exposure to chlorine and salt water.

7. Products to Avoid

Avoid heavy oils and greasy products near the beads.
Avoid harsh chemical treatments around the attachment area.
Do not use excessive amounts of dry shampoo or styling products near the roots.

8. Professional Maintenance

Flat Tip extensions generally require professional maintenance every 6–10 weeks, depending on natural hair growth.
Have the beads professionally removed and repositioned.
Never pull, cut, or remove the extensions yourself.
