U-Tip Fusion Hair Extensions — Care & Maintenance
Proper aftercare helps maintain the quality, shine, softness, and longevity of U-Tip Fusion extensions while minimizing stress on the natural hair.
1. Brushing
Brush gently 2–3 times daily with an extension-friendly brush.
Start from the ends and gradually work toward the roots.
Support the bonds with your hand while brushing.
Never pull or brush aggressively through tangled hair.
2. Washing
Use a sulfate-free, extension-friendly shampoo.
Wash gently without excessive rubbing around the keratin bonds.
Apply conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends.
Avoid applying heavy conditioner, oils, or masks directly onto the bonds.
3. Drying
Gently squeeze excess water from the hair—don't rub it with a towel.
Avoid sleeping with wet extensions.
Dry the roots and keratin bonds completely.
Use low-to-medium heat whenever possible.
4. Heat Styling
Always use a heat-protectant spray before using hot tools.
Avoid applying excessive heat directly to the keratin bonds.
Limit frequent use of high-temperature straighteners and curling irons.
5. Sleeping
Make sure the hair is completely dry before bed.
Gently braid the hair or tie it in a loose, low ponytail.
A silk or satin pillowcase can help reduce friction and tangling.
6. Swimming
Wet the hair with fresh water before entering a pool or sea.
Apply a suitable leave-in conditioner and secure the hair in a loose braid.
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after swimming.
Minimize prolonged exposure to chlorine and salt water.
7. Products to Avoid
Avoid heavy oils and greasy products near the keratin bonds.
Avoid harsh chemical treatments directly over the bonds.
Do not use products that can soften or weaken the keratin attachment.
8. Professional Maintenance
U-Tip Fusion extensions generally require professional maintenance or removal after approximately 8–12 weeks, depending on natural hair growth and installation.
Have the extensions professionally removed—never pull or cut the bonds out yourself.
If reusing the hair, new keratin tips may be applied by a professional.
